Staying at Planet Hollywood, Goa, feels a bit like stepping into a well-curated Instagram feed—everything’s just a bit too perfect, and yet you can’t help but love it. The welcome was so warm I half-expected them to hand me a cozy blanket along with my room key. The check-in process was as painless as a post-Spa session, and before I knew it, I was gliding towards our spacious double room, marvelling at how they’d managed to make it feel both luxurious and homey. No long queues, no impatient sighs—just a seamless transition from travel-weary to vacation-ready. A personal touch? You bet.

The property itself is lovely—think lush gardens, a cool breeze that seems to follow you everywhere, and a bar that looks like it belongs in an old-school Hollywood noir film, complete with photographs of celebs on the walls.
Nestled in the lush landscapes of South Goa, Planet Hollywood has a certain charm that’s both glamorous and laid-back. The sprawling resort is home to multiple restaurants, each offering a unique culinary experience. Whether you’re in the mood for an indulgent buffet at Planet Dailies or something more specialized at Fame or Heart Bar, you’re in for a treat.

The room was impressively spacious, offering all the modern amenities you could wish for. From a plush bed that practically guarantees sweet dreams to a sleek, well-appointed bathroom, every detail is designed for comfort. But the real showstopper? A foot massager, thoughtfully placed in the room—a first for me in any hotel stay. It’s the kind of unexpected luxury that makes you feel like you’re truly being pampered, turning an already relaxing getaway into a rejuvenating experience. The pool-facing rooms are particularly striking, with large balconies that offer an uninterrupted view of the crystal-clear waters.

Speaking of the pool, it’s the kind of place where you could easily spend an entire day. We headed straight there after settling into our room, and it was just as inviting as it looked. The staff, ever-attentive, brought us pool towels without us even asking—a small but appreciated touch that set the tone for our stay. It’s like they were mind-readers or perhaps just very attentive. The Jacuzzi was equally appealing, perfect for unwinding after a day of exploring or just lazing around.

Dinner at Planet Dailies was where things got seriously good. We opted for the buffet—because why pick just one dish when you can have everything?

The variety was staggering. The Indian section alone could have fed a small army, with standout dishes like Butter Chicken, Veg Kadai and Chicken Florentine but the Pan-Asian favorites were calling my name.

The Kung Pao Fish was a revelation, spicy and tangy with just the right kick. The Fish in Hot Garlic Sauce was equally divine.

And let’s not even get started on the desserts. The Umali was a warm hug in a bowl, while the Basque Cheesecake and Blueberry Dry Cheesecake were so good they made me consider a second stomach.

Post-dinner, we dabbled in the various activities on offer—pool table, table tennis, carrom—feeling like I’d stumbled into a 5-star version of my childhood holidays.

The next morning’s breakfast buffet was another win. Whether you’re after Indian classics or Western staples, they’ve got it all.

I’m usually skeptical about live counters, but the pancakes, dosas, and eggs were cooked to perfection, as if the chef had known exactly how I liked them. The Chicken Roulade was another highlight, though I may have eaten more than my fair share.

The staff continued to impress, even granting us an extended checkout, because apparently, they’re just nice like that. We squeezed in one last dip in the pool before reluctantly packing up.

The checkout process was as smooth as the check-in, and we left feeling refreshed, relaxed, and slightly smug about our excellent choice of hotel.
In a nutshell, Planet Hollywood Goa gets the blend of sophistication and fun just right. It’s a place where you can swan around pretending you’re a movie star, but also kick back and enjoy the simpler pleasures—like a great meal, a dip in the pool, and a game of carrom.

Whether you’re here to channel your inner A-lister or just soak in some fun, Planet Hollywood Goa has all the right moves. And who knows? By the end of your stay, you might just begin planning your sequel.
