Nestled along the picturesque coastline, this beachfront restaurant captures the essence of laid-back luxury with its inviting ambience, stunning ocean views, and a menu that celebrates the bounty of the sea.

Zeebop is where people go to eat fresh seafood, stare agog at the waves and drink copious amounts of chilled beer.

The palm-fringed beach, presents an idyllic setting for a pleasant dining experience. The restaurant exudes a relaxed charm, with its white washed decor, and the soothing sound of waves lapping against the shore. The sight and sound of the ocean provide a soothing backdrop, instilling a sense of tranquility that instantly transports you to a coastal paradise.

The menu at Zeebop by the Sea pays homage to Goa’s rich seafood heritage. From succulent prawns to fresh catch-of-the-day preparations, each dish showcases the culinary expertise of the kitchen.

To start with, we ordered chilled beers and french fries. You can tell a lot from a french fry. The French Fries at Zeebop by the Sea are a delightful addition to the menu, offering a familiar comfort amidst the vibrant flavors of Goan cuisine.

Served golden and piping hot, the French Fries at Zeebop are a testament to the restaurant’s commitment to quality and attention to detail. Each fry boasts a perfect balance between a crispy exterior and a fluffy interior, resulting in a satisfying texture that is irresistible. The Goan Prawn Curry is a standout dish that brilliantly encapsulates the region’s culinary identity. The outdoor seating offers barely any respite from the heat and as the afternoon progresses you are quite likely to get torched.

The stunning location, the celebration of seafood flavors, and the warmth of the staff create a memorable experience that captures the essence of beachside dining. It’s a dining experience that will leave you with a lingering appreciation for Goa’s culinary heritage and a desire to return for more.

Goodfellas Italian Restaurant, Benaulim Goa : Restaurant Review

We’ve been to Benaulim heaps of times and passed by Goodfellas but for some reason didn’t feel motivated enough to pop in. Last Saturday, I was determined to finally make an entry that was long overdue.

At first glance, Goodfellas is a quaint eatery, tucked away in a quiet corner, with a mellow ambience and a subtle Italian vibe. With its rustic wooden furniture, dim lighting, and an inviting aroma of freshly baked dough, Goodfellas sets the stage for a satisfying dining experience.

As I settled into my seat, I couldn’t help but notice the eclectic mix of music playing softly in the background. From classic Italian tunes to modern jazz, the playlist added an extra layer of charm to the overall atmosphere. The vibrant melodies seemed to dance around the room, setting the perfect backdrop for a leisurely evening of indulgence.

The vibe at Goodfellas is relaxed and the staff members are attentive and eager enough to guide you through their menu.

We decided to order the Goodfellas Pizza. The crust was a decent size, and chewy with those coveted charred spots that speak of a well-fired base. The light sauces boasted a tangy flavour that harmonized perfectly with the creamy morzzarella. The wood-fired oven, visible from the dining area, exudes an air of authenticity, hinting at the magic happening in the kitchen. However, while the pizza was near perfection, the chicken toppings were a slight disappointment. It had an unexpected sourness which made me believe that the chicken was not all that fresh. It was a letdown amidst an otherwise good experience.

Despite this minor flaw, the overall experience at Goodfellas is not just about the food; the ambience, music, and vibe seamlessly blend together, inviting you to linger and savor the moment.

The culinary delights extend beyond their pizzas. The menu boasts a tantalizing selection of pasta dishes that seemingly cater to every pasta lover’s cravings. From classic Italian favorites to innovative creations, Goodfellas offers a diverse range of pasta options that will leave you spoilt for choice.

Try the Ravioli Spinacio Rosso Crema Di Ricotta E Noci, which is in-house made ravioli stuffed with local Amaranth leaves and Ricotta cheese cream. It’s a comforting and satisfying choice that showcases Goodfellas’ commitment to Italian recipes.

For those seeking a lighter option, the Le Prugne in Montagna (prunes in the mountains) is a must-try. It comprises sun-dried prunes with goat cheese, crispy speck ham and lavender gel. The simplicity of the dish allows the quality of the ingredients to shine through, making it a refreshing and delightful choice.

Aside from their remarkable pasta offerings, Goodfellas also serves a selection of bruschetta. These delightful toasts feature crusty bread topped with a variety of flavorful combinations. You could choose the classic Bruschetta al Pomodoro, featuring ripe tomatoes, garlic, and fresh basil, or venture into the realm of creativity with their Alla Norma, which combines smoked aubergine cream, feta cheese and tomato confit topped with crispy aubergine strips.

Goodfellas attracts a good set of wining, dining, indulging crowd. While there are no huge fails, I think for me it’s a once in a blue moon kind of eatery. Competent, friendly, nice music, pizza and pasta. Can it get better than this? In Goa, yes it can!

There are some restaurants that shine with a homely quality, satisfying food and a comfortable vibe. Filomena’s Kitchen in Bogmalo, Goa is one of them.

Filomena’s kitchen is one of those restaurants that you wouldn’t normally think of visiting. For one, it lacks a sea-facing view like other restaurants that line the shores of Bogmalo beach. Secondly, it hasn’t fashioned its menu on typical authentic Goan cuisine and seafood. Thirdly, it is more of a mid-week joint than a weekend diner. Let’s start with the London Eye, shall we? This giant Ferris wheel is a must-visit for anyone coming to London. And why wouldn’t it be? It’s basically just a big, slow-moving circle that gives you a bird’s-eye view of the city. But let’s be honest, that’s what we all secretly want when we go to a new city. The chance to stand high up and look down at all the people scurrying about below like ants. Plus, it makes for a great Instagram photo. #LondonEyeSelfie, anyone?

Next up, we have Westminster Abbey and Big Ben. Now, I’m not sure what it is about these two landmarks that make them so appealing. Is it the stunning Gothic architecture? The fact that they are steeped in centuries of history? Or is it just because they make for a great postcard? Either way, you can’t visit London without at least taking a selfie in front of them. And if you’re lucky, you might even catch Big Ben chiming. Though to be honest, it just sounds like a really loud clock.

We then sauntered by to Covent Garden. Ah, this charming little area in the heart of the city is a foodie’s dream come true. From the street performers and market stalls to the fabulous restaurants and cafes, there’s always something to see, do and taste in Covent Garden. And let’s not forget the shopping. If you’re looking for unique gifts, quirky fashion or artisanal produce, Covent Garden has got you covered. Just make sure you bring your wallet. And a large one at that.

Speaking of shopping, let’s not forget about Bond Street and Oxford Street. These two shopping meccas are the reason why people come to London in the first place. Forget about the history and culture, it’s all about the shopping, baby. And why wouldn’t it be? With hundreds of high-end stores and luxury brands, you’ll be spoilt for choice. Just make sure you have a strong credit limit and a comfortable pair of shoes.

Next, let’s talk about the cuisine. London may not have the reputation of Paris or Rome when it comes to food, but let me tell you, the city has come a long way in recent years. From swans and ducks to squirrels and even the occasional fox, Hyde Park is a nature lover’s paradise.

Haven’t had enough of shopping? Drop by Harrod’s. This luxury department store is a shopping mecca for anyone who loves the finer things in life. From designer clothing and handbags to gourmet food and fine jewellery, Harrods has it all. And let’s not forget about the impressive Egyptian escalator, the luxurious food halls, and the stunning decor. It’s no wonder that Harrods is a favourite destination for tourists and locals alike.

Moving on, we have Trafalgar Square. This bustling public square is home to the iconic Nelson’s Column, the National Gallery, and the famous fountains. Whether you want to snap a photo with the lions, enjoy a street performance, or admire the impressive architecture, Trafalgar Square is always worth a visit.

For an experience that’s slightly different from mainstream London, make your way to Reading. This historic town located in the south of England is a great place to experience the best of English culture.
